TECH FOR CAMPAIGNS BRAND
SITE REDESIGN
In 2024, Tech for Campaigns tapped some of their experienced community members to assist in revamping and refreshing their public-facing site, techforcampaigns.org. This is a critical piece of the organization’s digital infrastructure. It acts as a recruiting tool, a funnel for donations, and the main point of contact for brand impressions. The revamp challenge was to balance each of these needs against the multiple audiences of the site: donors, volunteers, and the campaigns themselves.
I worked directly with TFC founder Jessica Alter as well as a lean team of strategists, designers, and programmers to build on the existing TFC framework to update the information, architecture, and messaging for the critical work of the 2024 presidential election year.

MAP THE VOTE
TFC creative technologist volunteers in Texas rolled out Map the Vote for the 2018 midterms. By using publicly available data, we were able to identify citizens with the highest likelihood of not being registered to vote. Texas doesn’t have online registration, and to help people register, you have to be deputized. This app helped volunteers 1) get deputized and 2) find voters that needed to be registered.
As a copywriter, I supported by writing UX copy for the app, marketing copy for social channels, and the volunteer script for people using the app.

EMAIL MARKETING
I was hired by Tech for Campaigns to help improve their email marketing to increase awareness, recruit new volunteers, and generate donations. I worked directly with Director of Marketing Lauren Miller to completely revamp the strategic approach to emails making them longer, more clickable, and more scannable. This resulted in increases across our chosen KPIs of open rates and clickthrough rates. You can view some of our working files for the emails here.
